The Haryana State Assembly has approved the Haryana State Employment of Local Candidates Bill, 2020. The bill will provide 75 percent reservation in the private sector to the local people of the state. The bill is only for the jobs that offers a salary less than Rs 50,000 a month.
The company had to recruit 10 percent of people from the district in which the company is located and the rest can be filled from other districts of the state.
The bill will become the law after the state governor will give its assent to the bill. According to the bill, the quota will initially apply for 10 years. The bill will cover the private companies, societies, trusts and partnership firms in the state. The bill also ensure that the eligible candidates will be provided training when qualified people are not available.
