All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) has extended the last date for admission to all the engineering courses till December 31, 2020. AICTE has also advised all the states to complete the admission process as soon as possible. The last date has been revised in view of the delay in the release of the CET result of few states.

The official circular released by the AICTE reads, ‘the last date for admission to Engineering Courses is extended up-to 31st December 2020 in only those cases where counselling and admission had not started due to delayed CET of the state or where counselling has yet to been over with a rise that classes were not started for more than 15 days to take care or the academic requirements of the students to avoid academic loss’.

This decision will impact the Maharashtra CET admission because the counselling of MHT CET has not been started yet.
