The Calcutta High Court has ordered the private schools to offer a minimum 20 percent fees reduction across the board. The court has directed that the non-essential charges of facilities which are not used now will not be permissible. About 145 schools are directed by the High Court.
The Decision has been taken in view after the guardians of students of these 145 schools had filed the petitions seeking a reduction in school fees as only online classes are being held during the lockdown.
The court has also made it clear that the fees which has been already paid will not be refund.
