For the second consecutive academic session, students of classes 1 to 7 from Jharkhand government schools are likely to be promoted without having to write any exam. Schools all over India had to shut down in the middle of March last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Jharkhand government has allowed schools to reopen from class 8 from March 1, but no decision has been taken for class 1 to 7. In a bid to make up the learning losses of students, state school education and literacy department is, however, planning for special classes for the students, who faced learning losses during Covid period.
