West Bengal government has announced to promote all the students of class 6 to class 9 to the next classes in the state without exams. The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) will not conduct any exams this year whereas the Board may conduct a mock test for Madhyamik in schools for the students of classes 6 to 9.
The teachers will have to revise the full syllabus of the previous class when the classes will reopen normally. The Class 9 students who will be promoted to class 10, will need to complete the syllabus of class 9 within a short time. The state government is also planning to reduce the syllabus of board exams 2021 by 30 to 35 percent.
