Colleges for Final Year UG Students to Reopen from December 7: Tamil Nadu CM

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu K Palaniswami has announced to reopen colleges for the final year undergraduate students from December 7. The colleges and universities including arts, science, technology, engineering, agriculture, fisheries, and veterinary will be allowed to reopen. Also, the CM has given permission to reopen the hostels for the final year students.

While listing out the relaxations in the state from December 1, the CM said that social, political and entertainment events would be allowed in auditoriums, and also the colleges for the final year undergraduate students will be reopened from December 7. He further added that beaches including the Marina here and tourist places shall be opened for public and swimming pools would be allowed to operate for training purposes.

To attend the classes, the students need to get a consent letter signed by their parents. The classes for freshers for the current 2020-21 academic year are expected to begin from February 1, 2021.
