The Chief Minister of Goa Pramod Sawant has inaugurated the Dnyanvardhini Divyang Training College at Sanjay Centre for Special Children, Porvorim. The college will provide a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree in special education for the specially enabled children. The motive of this degree programme is to empower the specially enabled children.
The BEd Special Education Degree programme is of two-year duration. The course is affiliated with the Goa University and approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India. For the empowerment of differently enabled people, the Goa Government in collaboration with the central government has also started a 10 days special camp in 12 talukas of the state.
