The Delhi Government has asked the 12 Delhi University affiliated colleges to pay the salaries to teachers and staff members from the Students’ Society Fund. Whereas the Delhi University Principals’ Association (DUPA) has said that the colleges cannot use the students’ fund for paying the salaries of the teaching and the non-teaching staff. The Association said that the fund is for the activities and Development of the students.
The association wants the Chief Minister of Delhi to ensure that the money collected as part of the students’ fund should be used as the activities meant for it. The also appealed to the Vice Chancellor of DU to get the grants-in-aid to be pay as due salary of the teaching and non-teaching staff from the Delhi Government.
