The Lady Shri Ram College of the University of Delhi has announced a reduction in fees for few courses. A committee has also been set up to provide laptops to the students and also allowed some students to stay in the hostel.
The college had cut off the extra fees for the facilities that the students are not able to avail of due to being off-campus. Also, the students are allowed to pay the fees in installments. The college administration had also said that more students of the second and third year will be allowed to stay in the hostels when the situation gets normalized.
These decisions are taken by following the demands raised by the students’ union after a student of the Lady Sri Ram College for Women was found hanging at her house on November 2 due to inability to pay the fees.
