The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Trivendra Singh Rawat has launched free high-speed Wi-Fi services for all government colleges and universities of the state. The launch programme was initiated in a college of his constituency Doiwala.
Uttarakhand has become the first state of the country which is going to provide free internet to all government colleges and universities. The CM said that internet connectivity in colleges and universities will play a big role in the education of students.
He also added that it is a big step towards the Digital India initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It will act as a bridge between the old and the modern.
