Kendriya Vidyalaya’s (KVs) and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya’s (JNVs) are planning to reopen schools across India from November 2, 2020. The schools will initially be open for the students of Class 9 to Class 12.
In the country there are a total of 1250 KVs and 650 JNVs in which about 15 lakh students are enrolled. JNVs are residential schools and will follow the SOPs and other guidelines issued by the Central Government.
The schools will remain closed for rest of the classes. As no state has given permission to reopen schools for the primary classes yet.
