Tripura government has announced to reintroduce the open-air classes or neighbourhood classes from October 5. The education department of Tripura has taken this decision after the state government announced to reopen schools from classes 9-12 for students on voluntary basis.
These neighbourhood classes were specifically started in August after a survey which revealed that about 94,000 students in the state are not able access online classes due to lack of access to phones. The classes were shortly suspended on August 29 because the Tripura has reported a sudden increase in Coronavirus cases.
