Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari had virtually inaugurated and laid down the foundation stones for 16 National Highways in Andhra Pradesh state.
The projects are about 1,411 km in length and are of Rs. 15,592 crores worth. Nitin Gadkari has also informed that 5,000 km of National Highways in Andhra Pradesh are developed by the government as a part of the Bharatmala Pariyiojana. Also, 400 km of port connectivity roads will be developed under this Pariyojana later.
