No exams for final year students in Maharashtra

Maharashtra has decided to provide a degree to all final year university students without exams, including 3.9 lakh of them who have back papers. Despite the guidelines of UGC that mention conducting exams are mandatory by offline or online methods, Maharashtra states that the safety of students are the utmost priority.

In order to ensure that the batch of 2020 can apply for jobs without difficulty, the mark sheet would not reflect if any special grade system was applied to qualify the candidate.
