Researchers of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras have developed an indigenously-made Microprocessor ‘MOUSHIK’. It can serve the rapidly-growing Internet of Things devices, under the Digital India Initiative.
It a processor cum ‘system on chip’ and has been conceptualised, designed and developed at the RISE Group’s Pratap Subrahmanyam Centre for Digital Intelligence and Secure Hardware Architecture, department of computer science and engineering, IIT Madras.
The project is totally funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
