Sainik School situated near Balachadi village of Gujarat has become the first and only sainik school till date who has started giving admission to the girls from academic session 2021-22.

Sainik School, Balachadi has started admitting girls initially in Class VI from next academic session. As per the release by the Defence PRO for Gujarat, ten per cent of total vacancies or minimum ten seats will be reserved for girls. A hostel for girls is being earmarked at the school, it added.

For the first time, National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the entrance examination for admissions in Sainik Schools. The online admission process has been started and the entrance examination will be conducted on January 10 next year.
