Under the Samsung Star Scholar program, Samsung India has provided the scholarships to 517 Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and National Institute of Technology (NIT) students. Every year these scholarships are provided the students from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya schools who qualify to these prestigious engineering colleges. This scholarship is to financially support less privileged students.

Under this Rs 2 lakh has been given for one academic year for expenses related to tuition, examination, hostel and mess. It can be renewed every year up to 5 years.
