At least 95% of students of classes X and XII reached schools on Friday when both the government and aided schools were opened partially. Around 2,400 school campuses across the state, housing over 3,000 high school and higher secondary sections, came alive on the day for the first time in this academic year.
The student turnout was, however, below average in some pockets of the state where people are yet to come out of the fear of the pandemic. Safety concerns have also been raised about schools where the student strength is comparatively high.
