The Odisha State Government has ordered all the schools in the state to remain closed till December 31. Odisha has become the first state in India to extend the closure of schools since the lockdown. The State Government has taken this decision after the Central government has issued the guidelines to open the schools.
The Odisha Government has taken the decision to let the schools closed due to alert of second wave of pandemic.
The notification released by the School and Mass Education (S&ME) department, Odisha reads, “The state government does hereby direct that all schools in the state shall remain closed till 31 December, 2020.
