Schools in Uttar Pradesh to reopened from October 19

The Uttar Pradesh Government has announced that the schools for Classes 9 to 12 will reopen from October 19. The students will only be allowed after the written permission from their parents or guardians. Classes will be held in shifts and all necessary protocols including social distancing and proper sanitisation should be followed by the schools. The Classes will be held in shifts with 50% occupancy at a time. The classes for 9 and 10 students will be held in first shift and the classes for 11 and 12 students will be held in the second shift.

Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma said in a statement said that it was decided that classes 9, 10, 11 and 12 of all boards outside containment zones will be resumed. The schools will be run in shifts and proper attention will be paid to the health of students, he added.
