Sikkim Government Decided to Reopen Schools from October 19

The Sikkim Government has decided to reopen all schools of the state in a graded manner from October 19. Only the students of classes 9 to 12 will be able to attend the classes with a written permission from parents or guardian.

An officer of the state education department’s public relations and publicity wing,  Bhim Thatal said that this year winter holidays will not be given to the students and also classes will be held six days a week. Whereas the government holidays will not be cancelled.

The classes will be run with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) as given be Central Government. Talking about the new academic session he further added that the current academic session will conclude by February 13, 2021.
