Uttar Pradesh’s Chitrakoot District resident and a well-known social activist Mr. Ram Suchit Singh has passed away in Prayagraj at the age of 94. He was an inspiration for the youth and a ray of hope for many. Mr. Singh had given his 40-45 years of life to the needy and had served in the fields of education and health care.
The social activist was a native of Uttar Pradesh’s Bachharan village of Chitrakoot district. He has done many remarkable works in the field of health and education for society and was also awarded “Pragya Puraskar” from a Government Institution of Madhya Pradesh in 2002 for his remarkable work in the field of education. Due to his selfless services in the field of education, health, and spirituality, Mr. Singh has been recognized as a source of motivation for thousands of people.
Besides his work as a social activist, he had served in various positions in educational institutes at Prathvipur, Satna, Rewa, Jabalpur, and Gramodaya University, Chitrakoot, and finally dedicated all his life to poor and underprivileged people. Since 1987, he had done excellent work through his free treatment in Karwi, Uttar Pradesh. Various institutions and social organizations of the country had also awarded him with several honors.
He also got nominated by few social institutions for Padma Shri Award in 2019 for his eminent services. Though he was not selected for the award it was a great moment of pride for the nearby districts of Chitrakoot.
His last rites were performed in his native village Bachharan on October 28, 2020.
