Description of the training:
The main work of the workshop is overhauling of the wagons. In electrical training, the students are taught about the electrical circuits of the wagon. The mechanical students meanwhile learn about the different components of the wagon, such as the places to attach different components of the wagon. While for the computer science students, the whole task has to be carried out on the computer itself. The computer training is done at the Information Centre of the workshop or the I.T. Centre. The work is basically database management. One has to insert the wagons into the central server of the Indian Railway. Then a trainer is assigned under whom they work. They have to do the whole task through the official account of the trainer. In this training, one has to basically tally the work of the groundsmen, who are actually moving the wagons from one place to another on the main server. The carriage and wagon workshop, Liluah is a very large workshop in size. Inside the workshop, there are many shops like K-shop, L-shop, repair shop, paint shop, etc. According to the need of the wagons, they are taken to their respective shops. For example, a wagon which has to be painted is taken to the paint shop. All this is carried out in the database as well. Different DBMS applications such as SAP, SQL Plus are used. The training usually starts from the second day. The first day is introduction where the trainer is assigned and books are studied. At the end, one has to make a report of the training which contains all the things that have been carried out during the project.
